Our client, a leading oil and gas company is looking forward to recruit Major Project Manager

Responsibilities
¿ To direct and manage the resources, activities and function of all the Major Project Execution teams
¿ To ensure and approve establishment of optimum Projects Execution Strategies
¿ To direct and control the teams for ensuring the development of right bidder lists and proper technical evaluation of bids and selection of the right Contractors/Consultants and Licensers
¿ To monitor and control the progress of the projects and guide the teams for ensuring timely completion within approved budgets while meeting the Quality and HSE Standards
¿ To direct, lead, control and manage and overall responsible for all Major Project from Initial phase to completion including the work of Project Management Consultant, Engineering Consultant, Licensors, Contractors and Vendors
¿ To endorse/approve the Changes/Variations proposed by the Contractors
¿ To manage and lead the discussion and negotiations with the Contractors on various issues prior to award, during execution and during warrantee periods to resolve the outstanding issues. This includes commercial negotiations with the Contractors on Variation/Claims etc.
¿ To ensure that HSE and quality requirements are complied with in the design and during construction phase of the projects and HSE and quality audits are conducted to confirm compliance
¿ To review & endorse the Capital Budgets and schedules of implementations and their periodic updates/revisions
¿ To approve the systems and procedures to be followed for various functions of projects execution at different stage of projects executions
¿ To lead and maintain effective co-ordination with other Divisions, sections of Projects Group, End-users and HSE Division
¿ To authorize/approve the payments to Contractors
¿ To direct and manage the development of competent staff, with a special focus on the training and coaching of UAE Nationals to ensure the highest levels of service is provided by all divisional personnel while supporting Emiratization targets

Minimum Requirements
¿ Bachelors Degree in Engineering from an accredited University with minimum 20 years of project and engineering management experience in the Oil/Gas industry
¿ Experience on large scale Oil/Gas and Petrochemical capital projects
¿ Has clearly demonstrated strong engineering competence
¿ Ability to work within a diverse cultural environment
¿ Demonstrated interpersonal/team building skills
¿ Strong written and oral communication skills
