Job Description:
Our client is looking for a young dynamic network engineer with the right experience and willingness to learn and adapt to the network environment very quickly. We seek an engineer who can work independently and as part of a team with excellent communication skills in English. The successful candidate for this position will be reporting to the Head of IT and will be responsible for managing a medium-large sized network infrastructure. He/she will be involved in but not limited to designing large network systems, managing quality of installations, installing, configuring and maintaining cisco switches, routers, IP telephony systems, Wireless LAN systems and firewalls. Any new network requirements or problems in the existing environment will need to be analysed and a suitable solution has to be proposed and implemented to support the business.
Primary responsibilities:
¿ Installing, configuring and maintaining Cisco Switches, Routers and ASA Firewalls
¿ Designing networks and preparing tender documents and design specifications
¿ Project Managing small to medium scale network installations
¿ Providing technical advice and support for any system dependant on the IT network
¿ Providing connectivity solutions for varying needs around the exhibition centre in Abu Dhabi and in different venues

Mandatory Skills: Expert level skills required in all the below
¿ SOHO to Enterprise class Cisco Switches
¿ Medium to Enterprise class cisco routers
¿ Advanced IP routing and Layer3 switching
¿ Advanced redundancy and failover configurations
¿ Advanced Wireless LAN configurations
¿ IP Telephony systems Configuration ¿ Call managers 6 and later and Cisco Voice Gateways
¿ Excellent documentation Skills and fluency in English
¿ Network Security policies and procedures

Preferred Skills:
¿ Managing windows server 2008 network environment
¿ Tender processes, RFP, Tender evaluation, Contract management
¿ Project Management

Mandatory Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor¿s Degree in Science/ Engineering, preferably in IT or Computer Science and at least 8 years¿ experience in IT of which at least 5 years in designing, installing and managing medium to large scale corporate networks
OR
Bachelor¿s Degree in any other discipline with at least 15 years¿ experience in a technical role in networking of which at least 5 years in designing, installing and managing medium to large scale corporate networks

Mandatory Certifications:
- CCNA
- CCNP ( BSCI and BSCMSN minimum)
- CWLF
- CWLAT

Preferred certifications or training:
CCNP
Cisco Routing and Switching Field Specialist
Cisco Wireless LAN Design/Field Specialist
PMP
