Job description
This vacancy is with our client, French Collaboration Company based in Abu Dhabi, UAEJob Dimension:
¿ Specifically dedicated to the Nasr Brownfield Project
¿ To assist the Nasr Brownfield project Construction Superintendent as required ensuring the health & safety of personnel and protection of the environment throughout the company field for all Nasr project activities
¿ To inform him of any specific situations or threats that could affect HSE on site
¿ To actively follow and promote to the proper application of company group, affiliate and site HSE management system practices and procedures
¿ To monitor all construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities during SIMOPS, partial shutdown and Full Field Shutdowns
¿ To monitor and enforce the application of safety working practices throughout the site and to contribute to the improvement of HSE performance.
Activities:
¿ Manage and plan the daily activities of the DO/FC Nasr Brownfield Project team
¿ Spend a minimum of 8 hours per day in safety coaching activities at all work locations related to Nasr Brownfield Project, from PP to AKE, seeking to gain the trust and confidence of worksite personnel and stimulate pro-active coaching on all HSE issues
¿ Spend a minimum of one hour a day with supervisors in safety coaching activities
¿ Engage the workforce in safety conversations to raise the level of their hazard and risk awareness
¿ Provide training and coaching to Nasr team to improve HSE competency
¿ Raise the standards of Anomaly reporting among the workforce to enhance hazard awareness and build a culture of personal responsibility where positive action is taken to address unsafe situations and behaviors
¿ Provide coaching to improve the standard and quality of Task Risk Assessments and participate and prepare Risk assessments as required
¿ Assist in the implementation of a behavioral safety improvement system on the company site
¿ Contribute to the ongoing improvement and delivery of site based safety related training programmes
¿ Perform regular inspections and audits as details in the annual audit and inspection programme
¿ Reinforce the team processes on the installation by regularly attending toolbox and pre shift meetings
¿ Attend and participate in safety talks and respond to any actions in a positive and timely manner
¿ Assist and participate in the management of the Intervention team.

¿ Ensure company standards and procedures are consistently applied
¿ Observe all company rules, procedures and instructions in the performance of his own task
¿ Follow instructions given by managers and supervisory personnel
¿ Exercise such caution as is necessary to avoid danger to persons, the installations or to the environment
¿ Participate actively in HSE meetings, safety talks, tool boxes, training sessions and drill
¿ Report any anomaly, abnormal conditions and near miss
¿ Stop activities when there is a potential or actual threat to human life, the installation or the environment and notify forthwith the responsible authority
¿ Recognize good safety behaviors of the workforce and bring them to the notice of the installation management.

Qualification & Experience Required:
¿ At least 3 years relevant offshore experience in a supervising role
¿ Must have worked in offshore construction during live operations/ Brownfield project
¿ Construction safety qualifications/certificates required (scaffolding, lifting, rigging, working at height, hot work, abrasive wheels etc)
¿ Proven record of proactively building relationships in an oil/gas service contractor Company or Operator with relevant offshore and HSE experience
¿ Experience in HSE compliance monitoring and auditing
¿ Experience in successfully applying health and safety standards and procedures and the ability to develop thorough knowledge of company and Group standards and procedures
¿ Expereince in providing HSE trainings and coaching
¿ Ability to obtain offshore HUET/survival certificate and medical and willingness to work offshore
¿ Knowledge of Permit to Work best practice desirable
¿ Training and experience of Intervention Team management desirable
¿ Ability to communicate with and influence people at all levels of the organization i.e, management, supervision and workers
¿ Excellent spoken and written English language skills
Work Location: Offshore, Abu Dhabi
Rotation cycle: 29 days ON followed by 27 days OFF
